3 Head Styles on Daisy

Meet Daisy. In this tutorial Michelle shows you how to create three different pet faces using snap on combs to keep your grooms consistent, quick and easy to repeat. You will learn how to map the skull and muzzle, clean the eyes safely, protect lashes and build three useful everyday heads from one dog. Michelle works through a plush teddy head, a balanced round head and a practical short head that owners request all the time. Each style follows the same steps so you can mix and match lengths, record your comb choices and give every client the same result no matter who grooms their dog.

  1. The Teddy Head

Michelle sets up Daisy’s neck, clears the stop, protects the lashes and builds a big, plush circle. She maps out the skull, uses a snap on comb to debulk evenly and shows you how to box in the beard, cheeks and top line before rounding everything into a soft teddy shape. You will see how she handles knots behind the ears, tidies stained muzzles and finishes the ears so they look full without being heavy.

2. The Round Head

In Part 2 Michelle uses the same structure and tightens it into a neater round head. The steps stay the same. The silhouette changes. She shows you how to keep the cheeks plush, balance both sides evenly and blend the skull into the clipped neck without leaving a line. This part focuses on symmetry, polishing and light scissoring so the face sits clean, cute and easy for owners to maintain between appointments.

3. A Short Head

Michelle demonstrates the short head clients ask for when they want short but not too short. Using a shorter comb she takes the whole face down, then refines the eyes, muzzle and cheeks so the dog stays cleaner for longer without losing expression. This head works well for eight to twelve week dogs, light matting or owners who want less water and food collecting around the mouth. Michelle shows you how to keep the eyes open, tidy the muzzle and soften the ears to create a simple, practical head that lasts.
