Cute as a Button Dog Grooming Training Centre
Location: Cairns, Queensland
Tara has been in the Pet Industry for 12 years, focusing on the Training and Development of groomers for the past 7 years. Prior to opening her Salon in Cairns, QLD in 2020, she was responsible for the education of over 150 Groomers within the grooming industry in a corporate environment.

Cute as a Button Dog Grooming Training Centre works in conjunction with Heiniger Academy, giving its students a Nationally Recognised Qualification in ACM30122 Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming). Cute as a Button Dog Grooming offers each student one on one coaching in a quiet Salon environment, with personalised training to suit preferred learning styles. At the completion of this course students will have the skills and knowledge to perform grooms using correct animal handling techniques, selecting the right tool for the job, ensuring each pets safety and the confidence to groom a dog from start to finish.
Tara holds a Cert IV TAE, Cert IV in Pet Styling and is an Accredited Mental Health First Aid officer.

Foundations of Dog Grooming is a 5 week intensive, face-to-face course operating in Perth, Western Australia, from 9am till 2.45pm Saturday and Sunday, and 4pm till 8.15pm Tuesday and Wednesday, during course dates.
Following on from Foundations of Dog Grooming, students will be introduced to patterned breeds, exploring how each pure breed has its own unique cut and finish to accentuate its features, as well as how to provide optimal health and maintenance requirements for each breed.

Our five week courses run four days a week from 9am to 2.30pm and are designed for the absolute beginner onwards. We have four different course blocks including Beginners, Intermediate, Commercial and Advanced Blocks. Each block is a five week course.
Students are encouraged to attend 4 blocks but how few or how many you attend is up to you. These blocks can be taken together as one four-month course for those wanting to get very skilled in all the techniques from the beginning, or these blocks can be taken individually at any time to work in with your goals and budget. Those wishing to develop skills over time can be guided by Angela, our head tutor and owner of Angels Grooming Center, as she will help you formulate a strategy for your training that will suit your immediate and long term goals and budget with her many years of experience building and running a successful dog grooming business and helping others start successful dog grooming careers and businesses from scratch.
