The Shiba Inu is a very sensitive breed. When you are working with a nervous dog, it is very important that the grooming process is a happy and caring one.

PART 1 As Jess works around Yuki while lathering up the shampoo, she is always talking to him to ensure he is comfortable. She demonstrates how to wash a nervous dog’s head.

PART 2 Like most Spitz breeds, Yuki likes the drying process better than the bath. Jess demonstrates how to dry the shorter double coat effectively.

PART 3 The final process for the groomout of a short double coated dog is de-shedding.
