 Oodle Studies

An Oodle is any breed of dog where one parent is a poodle who has bred with another breed. Common breeds we come across in grooming are the Cavoodle (Poodle x Cavalier), Spoodle (Poodle x Cocker Spaniel), Labradoodle (Poodle x Labrador Retriever) and Groodle (Poodle x Golden Retriever).

Whilst we will often be informed of the type of Oodle breed we are working with; it can be helpful to have a basic understanding of the different characteristics such as face shape and coat type. Nicky Renwood details the variables between Cavoodles, Spoodles and Labradoodles in the following video. This video explores in depth the Cavoodle, Spoodle and Labradoodle similarities and differences including face/skull shapes, fur types and sizes. What a cute bunch!
