STANDARD POODLE
Electra
Poodles are one of Taylan’s favorite breeds to groom. Tay demonstrates a longer Miami Trim on Electra, a 7 year old Standard Poodle. She demonstrates 4 different blade lengths, perfect shape and finish on bracelets using curves and chunkers.
The Body
Ever wondered what those wide blade extensions are like?
Tay uses a 16mm (yellow) wide comb, blocking out the body in half the time! Next she shows how to get a smooth flawless blend using 3 other extensions blades, brown/orange comb, dark blue comb and the dark red extension comb without needing to blend with scissors.
KEY POINTS
Smooth finishing using 4 different lengths
Shorter lengths to show off angulation, highlighting key areas you want to enhance
The Bracelets Part 1
Bracelets are a key feature for the Miami Trim. Tay demonstrates fast techniques to de-bulk the bracelet with a #30 blade. This method is commonly used in grooming competitions to achieve shape quickly. Tay creates the perfect “egg shape” with a pair of curved scissors.
