Frequently Asked Questions

  • It is imperative for your dog’s safety that they are secured to your table throughout the groom. Most grooming tables will come with an attachable arm, however these can be expensive, particularly when you only intend to use them for your own dog! We have suction cups and grooming nooses that can attach to the wall behind your bench or table, a great and very feasible option for DIY grooming! (These can also be used in the bathing process)

  • It is better to clip your dog’s hair when it is completely dry. Not only will your blades last longer, but your dog’s coat will sit differently when it is wet compared to when it is dry.

  • The not-so-secret secret is two shampoos! Completing two shampoos, focusing on the areas that are particularly prone to getting dirty (snout, paws and hygiene areas) followed by a conditioner, will leave your pup squeaky clean!

  • Groomers will complete a ‘pre-clip’ prior to bathing the dog. This ensures that the coat is mat free as well as saving time by ensuring you aren’t wasting time washing and drying excess coat that will be removed post-bath.
